It is approxomately 15 minutes away from Liverpool Street from Forest Gate station and a short bus ride from the Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, E20.

Forest Gate railway station is on the Great Eastern Main Line serving Forest Gate in the London Borough of Newham, east London. It is 5 miles 21 chains (8.5 km) down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between Maryland and Manor Park. Its three-letter station code is FOG and it is in fare zone 3.
The station was opened in 1840 by the Eastern Counties Railway. It is managed and served by the Elizabeth line.
London Buses routes 58, 308, and 330 serve the station.

THINGS TO DO:
Forest Gate hosts a regular and popular local food and crafts market which was started by residents. There are also trendy pop-up restaurants opening in the area.
Wanstead Flats which is very popular with the whole community for a whole range of recreational activities including walking, horse riding, picnics, football, cricket, jogging, cycling and more. It is also important as a wildlife reserve.
Among the many teams playing on the flats is Sunday League football team Senrab F.C.. Based in Forest Gate, Senrab have produced several players who have gone on to successful professional careers, including: John Terry , Sol Campbell, Jermain Defoe, Ledley King, Bobby Zamora and Paul Konchesky. Several professional coaches also started out at Senrab, most notably Dario Gradi, Ray Wilkins and Alan Curbishley.
West Ham Park, the largest park in the London Borough of Newham, has been owned and maintained by the City of London Corporation since 1874 and is a Registered Charity.
Over a £1m annually is provided by the City of London to support this 77 acre (31.1 hectare) Green Flag award winning space. The Park provides a pleasant and relaxing environment for over one million visitors a year.
FUN FACT:
The first known record of the name ‘Forest Gate’ comes from the West Ham parish registers of the late 17th century and describes a gate placed across the modern Woodford Road to prevent cattle straying from the open.
